The Privateers are coming off a 3-1 loss to Tulane on Tuesday night. New Orleans landed three players in double figures in kills on the night and there were two double-doubles registered (
Blessing Dunn-14 kills, 15 digs and
Celeste Ramirez-41 assists, 10 digs). Ramirez also recorded her third match of five kills on Tuesday.
This is the sixth all-time meeting between New Orleans and Central Arkansas. The Privateers won the first ever meeting between the two schools in 1978. The last four meetings have come within the last two years when the Privateers joined the Southland.
Rondolyn Bryant recorded 12 kills in the match against Tulane and a .333 attack percentage. Bryant also had two block assists. In the last seven matches, Bryant has racked up 14 total blocks (two solo, 12 assist). Bryant is also second on the team in attack percentage.
QUICK HITS-Dunn went over 100 kills for the season on Tuesday and the double-double was her second of the season.

Lauren Levy has gone for at least 10 digs eight times in the last 10 matches and is averaging 2.75 digs per set.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTCentral Arkansas comes in on a five-match winning streak, which continued on Tuesday when they defeated Houston Baptist in three sets. The Sugar Bears won 25-17, 25-14, 25-20 behind a .341 attack percentage and a 42-20 advantage in the kill department. Central Arkansas has finished three of five matches in three sets during their winning streak.
Heather Schnars was named Southland Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 28. Schnars is the defending Southland Offensive Player of the Year. This season, Schnars leads the conference in kills per set and service aces per set. This season, Schnars has been held under 10 kills in a match just twice.
Jeni Jones is in her first season at the helm after spending 13 years at Missouri State. In that span, MSU went to seven NCAA tournaments and won 291 matches. Since Central Arkansas joined the Southland, they've won over 78 percent of conference games. Amy South is fifth in the conference in assists and holds the school record for most assists in a five-set match (66 vs. Oklahoma).
