Overall thoughts on the game
"It's frustrating. I didn't think we came out in the first 20 and played our best defensive half, which we needed to. We had an opportunity in the first half to execute and grow a lead, but we left some opportunities on the table. We've got to keep getting better. There were stretches where we were really good defensively and there were some stretches where we got away from what makes us pretty good and that hurt us."
 
On not being able to score in key situations late
"The possessions are of equal value. The first possession is just as valuable as the last possession. We've got to be as locked in and ready to go as much every possession as we are at the end. I've never bought into the idea that you lose on the last possession. You may have lost the game on the 24th possession because that one is just as valuable. There are some things we've got to get better in. We're just not seeing the next right pass, and that's what we need to do to make this thing work at a high level."
 
On the effort of Kevin Hill off the bench
"Kevin has been great. He gives us a huge spark off the bench. He's kind of championed that role and he's excited about it. We've been happy with him in that position and the other guys are moving to try and match that. Hopefully we can get it going to where we're playing across the board at a better level."
 
On being home to prepare for Houston Baptist on Saturday and Stephen F. Austin next Monday
"It'll be nice. These are two huge games in Houston Baptist and Stephen F. Austin. We know that this is a really difficult stretch of the schedule and that we'll have to play really, really well. Hopefully we can get us a run going here."
