The University of New Orleans women's basketball team (7-17, 4-11 Southland) looks to make one final push in their road finale against the Abilene Christian Wildcats (23-3, 14-1) on Saturday at the Moody Coliseum. The game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start.

The Privateers are 1.5 games out of the last spot in the conference tournament with three games remaining. The two teams have split two career meetings, both dominating in their respective victories. Abilene Christian posted an 88-44 win in 2014, but the Privateers returned the favor, dominating the Wildcats 71-50 last season.

Alexis Martin scored a career-best 14 points in the Privateers' last outing, a 70-55 loss to Nicholls. Martin has set career highs in points and steals between both meetings against the Colonels. Martin's previous career high was a 13-point performance last season against Southeastern. Martin also had six free throw trips and converted on all of them on Wednesday.

Danielle Davis matched her season best total for assists against Nicholls. After dishing out four assists, Davis ran her season total to 53 which matched her total in her debut season with the Privateers as a sophomore. Davis has 182 career assists including 29 in her freshman year at Central Connecticut State.

The Privateers surpassed last year's rebound total of 969. New Orleans now has 980 boards entering the final three games of the season and the Privateers are still ranked second in the Southland in rebounds per game with 40.8.

Abilene Christian has been rolling throughout the conference slate and their latest showing was a 76-55 win over Houston Baptist. Alexis Mason led the team in scoring on the night with 23 points. Mason and Privateer, Randi Brown are second and third in the Southland respectively in points per game entering Saturday's contest.

The Wildcats have had to adjust to losing Lizzy Dimba to an injury back on Feb. 14. Dimba was the team's leading rebounder and was also ranked fifth in the conference at just shy of 8.0 rebounds per game. As a team, the Wildcats are ranked first in rebounding with 42.0 boards per game.

Julie Goodenough is in her fourth season with Abilene Christian and has guided the Wildcats to a banner year in the win-loss column. The Wildcats have only lost to Big 12 foes, Texas Tech and Kansas State in non-conference action. Their only conference loss was to preseason favorite, Lamar.
