BATON ROUGE, La. – Alexis Guedy moved on to the second round of qualifying on day one of the ITA Southern Regionals at the LSU Tennis Complex Thursday. The University of New Orleans freshman defeated UAB's Anru Fourie, 6-4, 6-4.
In the consolation singles draw,
Giacomo Adoncecchi upended Nicholls State University's Eddie Marino, 6-3, 6-2.
In the first round,
Christian Fjeldstad threatened versus Auburn's Viboosh Chandresekar, forcing a tiebreaker, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.
In the second round,
Federico Boscarino nearly upset Ole Miss' Cotter Wilson, 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.
