Keeshawn Davenport. "We dug ourselves a hole early but they fought back and I was proud of them."
New Orleans (13-12,8-7) has been able to boast of the conference's leading scorer throughout the season in

"I'm really excited about the opportunity to get to Katy, but we don't have it in our mind to get there and play one game. We want to get there, compete and play more than one game. We want to win a championship."
Northwestern State also has aspirations of reaching post season. The Lady Demons, who are right behind the Privateers in the Southland Conference, have more than Beatrice Attura. Cheyenne Brown, a 6-2 forward averages 13.5 points and 7.0 rebounds. However, Attura, one of the best players in the Southland Conference, is their leader.
"She has done well in their system. She's very versatile, she can shoot, she can get to the rim and she can play anywhere from point guard to small forward," said Davenport.
As a team Northwestern State is the conference leader in free throw shooting hitting .787. The Lady Demons are third in the SLC in field goal percentage hitting 42 percent of their shots.
The Lady Demons lead the season series 10-5 after sweeping the home-and-home series with the Privateers last season.
