LAKE CHARLES, La. – Atop the Southland Conference with a 3-0 record, the defending champion University of New Orleans (6-8, 3-0 Southland) visits Burton Coliseum to face McNeese State University (5-8, 2-1 Southland) Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
The game follows the women's contest against the Cowgirls at 1 p.m.
The Privateers went 13-of-13 from the free throw line in Wednesday's win over Lamar University and it will be key for UNO to make the most of their FT attempts as McNeese hands out the fewest fouls per game in the league.
WATCH
Travin Thibodeaux leads the team in points, rebounds and blocks and has reached double figures in seven consecutive games. With the 14 points Wednesday,
Makur Puou now has seven double digit games this season, surpassing last season's total.
Bryson Robinson leads the club in assists and the sophomore and
Troy Green have a 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio, the first time under the
Mark Slessinger era.

COLLEGE SPORTS MADNESS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Thibodeaux received College Sports Madness Southland Conference Player of the Week Monday after averaging 20.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.5 steals in the two conference wins.
From the charity stripe, the Plaquemine native shot 90.9 percent, connecting 12 Thursday and going a perfect 8-for-8 Saturday.

• The hottest team in the Southland Conference heads to Lake Charles to take on McNeese Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
• The Privateers swept the series last season and lead the all-time series 11-7. However, the Cowboys are 5-3 when hosting New Orleans.

The junior went flying on an alley-oop off the dish by Robinson, who finished with 12 points, five rebounds, two steals and a career-high eight assists. Puou added 14 points on 7-of-14 shooting and Thibodeaux was 4-of-5 for 12 points, three steals and three blocks.
