BATON ROUGE, La. – The University of New Orleans (10-11, 4-3 Southland) looks to end its two-game skid in a busy week. The Privateers start with their final non-conference match against SWAC member Southern University (2-13) Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Clifford Seymour Gym. UNO returns to the HPC for a pair of SLC matches first on Thursday at 6 p.m. verse Abilene Christian (6-10, 3-1 Southland), then the Privateers finish the week with Sam Houston State (11-5, 3-1 Southland) Saturday at 1 p.m.

The last time UNO faced Southern was back on September 8, 2015, a game in which the Privateers won 3-0. New Orleans fell to Sam Houston and Abilene last season 3-1.
 
SCOUTING THE TEAMS
NEW ORLEANS
Kaitlyn Grice continues to put together a terrific senior campaign with a .350 hitting percentage (first in SLC), 99 total blocks (fourth in the nation/first in SLC), and she leads the Privateers with 192 kills on the season. 
Brianna Vega recorded seven aces against Lamar upping her total to 25 and putting her first in the conference.
 
Blessing Dunn continues to close in on the 1,000-kill mark with 190 on the year putting her only 49 away.
 
SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY
Shelby Jolly leads the Jaguar offense with 167 kills on the season on a .238 hitting percentage. Paige Hall follows Jolly with 162 kills on the season on .260 hitting.
 
ABILENE CHRISTIAN
Abilene Christian has a pair of players on the Conference leaderboards. Lorin McNeil is tenth in the Southland in blocks and Lillian Drever is ninth in the conference in digs with 4.40 per set.
 
SAM HOUSTON STATE
Taylor Cunningham has solidified her spot on multiple conference leaderboards. She is first in kills (3.91 K/set), third in hitting percentage (.340), tied for seventh in blocks (57), and first in points (244).
