NEW ORLEANS – After going 2-1 in the Golden Eagle Invitational last weekend, the University of New Orleans (3-4) looks to keep the magic going as it hosts the UNO Invitational September 7-8. The Privateers will take on Bethune-Cookman (2-4) at 2 p.m. and Prairie View A&M (0-6) at 7 p.m. on Friday. New Orleans wraps up the Invite with matchups against Jackson State (1-4) at noon and Morgan State (2-5) at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

SCOUTING THE TEAMS
NEW ORLEANS
Brianna Vega leads the offense with 71 kills and is second on the team in service aces with nine.
Blessing Dunn is one dig shy of 1,000 career and this season, leads the team with 96 digs.
Kaitlyn Grice leads the club with 37 total blocks (most in Southland Conference) and her 1.23 blocks per set rank second in the league. Grice finished last season second in blocks/set and led in hitting percentage. This season,
KG is seventh in hitting (.308) and second among UNO student-athletes -
Lane Hindenburg is hitting .311 (sixth in SLC).
Sarah Thomas is seventh in the Southland in assists/set with 6.87. As a team, the Privateers have 70.5 blocks, No. 15 in the nation.
BETHUNE-COOKMAN
The Wildcats is led offensively by Jordan Jefferson with 65 kills and 78 digs. Defensively, Faith Landreneaux paces the team with 20 total blocks.
JACKSON STATE
Jackson State has three players with 40+ kills on the season – Tielar Richards (58), Camry Dabney (44) and Alexandra Burney (44). Burney also leads the team with 62 digs on the season.
PRAIRIE VIEW A&M
Jaylan Thomas is tops with 63 kills and Christen Augustine leads the way with 91 digs.
MORGAN STATE
The Lady Bears have three players with 50+ kills - Cristen Coryatt (87), Zoe McBride (69) and Kalysia Bates (56). On the defensive side, Jasmin Hubbard paces the team with 102 digs.
