Austin, Texas- The University of New Orleans was represented by three student-athletes on the second day of competition at the 92
nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin Texas.
In the men's 400 meter hurdles, sophomore
Harrison Coleman won his heat despite hitting the last two hurdles with a time of 55.70.
China Waldorf was clocked in 1:06.66 in the women's 400 hurdles.
In the men's hammer throw, freshman Vojislav Gvero finished 18
th in the competition, improving with each of his three attempts, his best effort of the day was 192' 2". His first throw was 173' 3" and his second, 183' 3".
"It was a case of young athletes and this is a big magnitude meet and it was good for us to get this experience," said head coach
Brian Johnson. "Tomorrow we'll try to get the men's 4X100 to run 39 seconds and we'll go from there."
The Texas Relays, one of the largest track and field events in the nation, continues tomorrow with day three. New Orleans will also be represented 30 miles south of Austin, Friday and Saturday, March 29-30 at the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas.
