NEW ORLEANS – On Monday, the New Orleans Privateers athletic department has announced new ways to reach out to fans for the latest updates on athletics.
Fans who are interested in registering for the Blues on Tues newsletter will be updated every Tuesday on information including upcoming games, promotions, tickets, and the Privateer Scholarship Fund.
"We created Blues on Tues to provide a weekly newsletter with New Orleans Privateers updates on events, programming opportunities, announcements and to streamline our communication with our fanbase, sponsors and donors," said Assistant AD for Communications and Marketing,
Kelvin Queliz.

Megan Steinmetz (Director of Marketing and Promotions) came up with an idea to revamp our weekly e-mails and we hope you are looking forward to hearing from #NOLAsTeam soon."
Also, the Privateers are partnering with Vozzi, a text service that will be used for in-game giveaways, ticket promotions, and the latest news and reminders about events. To opt in to the service, text the word, "Alert" to 833-955-2554. (Standard data and messaging rates apply).

Tim Duncan. "As a part of our strategic plan connecting with the New Orleans community, this fits right into our strategy of us reaching out to our external partners whether they are alums, faculty/staff, parents, community members, corporate sponsors or people in the city."
"I think it's important for us to utilize our voice so everyone can know what's happening on campus from us. As I've said many times, our student-athletes and coaches are the stars and we want to make sure that we're promoting them in all that we do."
