Track & Field to Close Indoor Regular Season at LSU on Friday

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans track & field program will close out their regular season with the LSU Twilight this Friday at the Carl Maddox Field House.

The field portion of the schedule will get underway at 11:30 AM CT while the track events will start at 2 PM.

It is the Privateers fifth and final meet of the indoor season as the team has already competed at LSU's Purple Tiger Invitational, UAB's Green and Gold Invitational, the McNeese Indoor Invite and the Samford Invite No. 2.

For Friday's meet, the Privateers with compete with a full throws and jumps group, the majority of their sprints squad and a select group of distance athletes.

The men's team is ranked 26^th overall in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) while the women's team slots in at 30^th.

The team has continued to take strides every meet this season and will look to continue that trend with a smaller group at the LSU Twilight.

The programs will then turn their focus towards the Southland Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday, March 1 – Monday, March 2 in Birmingham, Ala. at the Birmingham Crossplex.
