LEXINGTON – The University of New Orleans track and field team wrapped up its 2026 season with a pair of solid performances on the final day of the men's NCAA East Regional in Lexington.

Keldrick Turner finished seventh in the third heat of the 400-meter quarterfinals with a time of 45.45, finishing ahead of Nathan Kent of Navy. The time is the second-fastest in school history and nearly a half-second improvement from his automatic qualifying time in Wednesday evening's preliminary round.

Turner now owns all three sub-46-second times in program history and the five fastest times in school history. He also recorded three of the Southland Conference's six times under 46 seconds this season.

Overall, the senior finished 17th, ahead of Jasuana Dennis of South Carolina, Takudzwa Pahuwa of Kentucky, Haydn Brotschi of Columbia, Kelsey Singleton of South Florida, Aden Price of Charleston Southern, Kent and Bryson Miller of East Carolina.

The Privateers' 4x100-meter relay squad of Daryl Bachmann, Yoran Kabengele-Kabala, Olamipo Ladipo and Turner finished fifth in its heat and 18th overall with a time of 38.46, fractions of a second behind Northwestern State and Louisiana. New Orleans' quartet finished ahead of teams from Kent State, Princeton, Rutgers, Miami, Army and Florida.

Their time Friday afternoon was the fourth-fastest in school history and the second-fastest by a UNO 4x100-meter relay team at an NCAA regional. Bachmann, Kabengele-Kabala, Ladipo and Turner conclude the 2026 season with two of the five fastest times in program history, including the school record of 39.40 set at the Southland Outdoor Championships two weeks ago.
