NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans track & field program announced its latest signing in James Grant from New Manchester High School, another talented sprinter who will be joining the team in time for Spring competition, made official by director of track & field
Brian Johnson on Thursday.
"I am super excited to have James join the sprint squad in the Spring," Johnson said. "He is a young talent that will help our sprint program continue to improve and also give us our final leg on our men's 4x100m and 4x400 team. I'm really looking forward to seeing great things from him once he arrives."
Grant competed for the Atlanta Lightspeed Track Club during his high school years where he holds the club's record in both the 100 and 200.
He will begin his collegiate career with personal bests of 10.56 in the 100, 21.29 in the 200 and 7.28 in the 60.
