NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers will take on two more in-state opponents at the Human Performance Center this week. Northwestern State comes into town on Thursday (6:30 p.m.) while Southeastern visits at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Our student-athletes who achieved at least a 3.0 grade point average in the Spring 2021 semester will be recognized. All volleyball student-athletes will earn their recognition before the match while the remainder of our student-athletes will be called upon after the second set.
Thursday's match will also represent Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night. All faculty and staff will be recognized after the first set.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
The Privateers will look to make it three wins in their last four meetings against the Lady Demons. New Orleans defeated Northwestern State on the final match of the season earlier in the calendar year. New Orleans engineered a 3-0 win on Mar. 25, 2021 and held the Lady Demons to a .024 attack percentage.
Trinity Jackson and
Alexis Parrish are the first two Privateers to crest the 100-kill mark for the season. Jackson has four matches of double digit kills this season while Parrish has recorded 67 kills in her last six appearances.
Sheilah Purcell is currently on pace for the fifth highest digs per set total in a single season in program history. Purcell is at 4.43 digs per set (155 total) through 35 sets played.
Northwestern State earned their first conference win of the season when they defeated HBU on Thursday, Oct. 7. The Lady Demons lost their last outing in straight sets to McNeese.
Southeastern is currently in a three-way tie for third in the conference standings at 3-2. Cicily Hidalgo leads the conference in kills per set with 4.07.
