NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers will travel to two in-state opponents this week. They will face the Northwestern State Lady Demons on Thursday (6:30 p.m.) and finish out the week in Hammond against the Southeastern Lady Lions at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
This week starts the final road trip of the regular season for the Privateers. Two more road matches await the following week at UIW and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Sheilah Purcell has gone for double digits in digs in 11 of her 12 matches played. Purcell is averaging 4.55 digs per set, which ranks second in the Southland.

Sh'Diamond Holly is averaging a block per set this year in 39 sets played. Holly's 0.97 blocks per set for her career would keep her in seventh all-time in program history.
-New Orleans lost 3-1 to Northwestern State a week ago.
Rita Zecchin recorded her third double-double of the season with 13 kills and 13 digs.
-The Privateers are also looking to avenge a 3-0 loss to Southeastern which was incurred on Saturday, Oct. 16.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
-Northwestern State is the team in the Southland that has been blocked the least. Opponents are averaging 1.6 blocks per set against the Lady Demons offense.
-Two Lady Demons are in the top ten in hitting percentage in the conference: Audrey Quesnel and Jaylibeth Garcia-Rosa.
-Southeastern enters the week tied for second in the conference standings at 5-2. The Lady Lions have played just two home matches this year.
-Cicily Hidalgo is first by a wide margin in points in the conference. Hidalgo has racked up 339 points. The next closest competitor is Bethany Clapp (UIW) with 226.
