NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers volleyball team takes to the court for two matches this week, starting on Thursday. The Privateers will face UIW at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Human Performance Center.

Thursday's match is Student-Athlete Night. Attendance by all Privateer teams will count as community service credit as all teams go for the 2021-22 Privateer Cup.
BACK AT HOME
The Privateers are back in the Human Performance Center after a nine-match road trip and being displaced by Hurricane Ida. New Orleans last played at home on the opening weekend when they hosted the New Orleans Invitational.
POISED TO MOVE UP AGAIN
Lucie Pokorna is five assists away from moving into ninth spot on the all-time assist list in program history. Pokorna would next pass Shannon Stowell who had 1,467 career assists.
INSIDE THE RANKS
The Privateers rank second as a team in blocks per set at 2.29. Individually,
Sh'Diamond Holly and
Atira Jells are in the top ten in blocks per set.
Holly also ranks second in the league in hitting percentage after going for 11 kills with just one error in 19 attempts against McNeese.
Trinity Jackson ranks sixth in the conference in kills per set as she has registered 2.66 as she has racked up 81 in 35 sets.
