NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers women's basketball team will play their second consecutive ranked opponent when they face the #7 Baylor Bears on Monday night at the Ferrell Center. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m.

NOTABLES
-
Brianna Ellis is coming off a career-high 19 points against Texas in the season opener. Ellis has three double-digit scoring outputs and all of them have come on the road (Texas, UIW, Missouri).
-The Privateers and Bears will be playing against each other for the first time since 1994. New Orleans is 3-1 in the all-time series but Baylor won the last meeting on a neutral floor in Houston.
-The road trip continues for the Privateers who will play eight of their 10 remaining conference games away from the Lakefront Arena.
-This marks the third time the Privateers have played more than one ranked opponent in the same season under coach
Keeshawn Davenport. The last occurrence was in the 2017-18 season when New Orleans faced nationally ranked Miami and Missouri.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
-Baylor is in their first season under Nicki Collen. The Bears have defeated Texas State and UT-Arlington in Collen's first two games on the sideline.
-NaLyssa Smith became the first in the Big 12 to have at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in a game this season when she did it against UT-Arlington.
-The Bears won three national championships under previous head coach, Kim Mulkey in 2005, 2012 and 2019.
-Smith and Queen Egbo bring a combined 29.1 points per game and 17.5 rebounds per game back this year after featuring as starters last season.
