Mathilde Helms Kjaer joins New Orleans distance program

NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans women's distance program added another big talent to a cross country squad that just finished with its second-best championship performance in school history as Mathilde Helms Kjaer joined the Privateers as the first signing of their 2022 Spring class.

"I am really excited to add Mathilde's athletic abilities and personality to our distance group," associate head coach Brock Moreaux said. "Mathilde has run really well in the 10K and the longer distance events, which will not only help us on the track but on the cross country course as well. In addition, she is an extremely hard working and positive person which I know will benefit our team culture. Welcome to the team, Mathilde!"
