THE NOTES ON THE SAINT KEEP GROWING
Derek St. Hilaire was named Louisiana Sportswriter's Association's (LSWA) Men's Basketball Player of the Month for November after averaging 21.4 points per game - good for 13th nationally during the first month of the season. Derek currently leads the Privateers and the Southland in scoring at 20.0 points per game. The Atlanta native had scored in double-figures in 11 consecutive games until the game against the Cajuns and has scored 20+ points in eight of the Privateers last 11 outings. He is shooting .464 from the floor, .396 from beyond the arc, and .861 from the charity stripe.

St. Hilaire has been a prolific shooter this season with 141 shots taken - the 27th most in the country. Speaking of 27, his 27-attempt burst at Northwestern State this year was the fourth most this season in a single game by a NCAA DI student-athlete, the most by a Southland student-athlete in a single game this season, the most by a Div. I basketball player in Louisiana this season, the ninth-most by a Privateer in a single-game in school history, and the most shots by a Privateer since Bo McCalebb hoisted 30 shots against Tulane in 2006. Derek is on pace to take just over 500 shots this season, which would place him ninth all-time for most shots in a single season by a Privateer.

BIGS COME ALIVE LAST FIVE
Tyson Jackson and Simeon Kirkland have been huge - no pun intended - for the Privateers over the last five games. Jackson has made 16 of his last 22 shots (including 8-of-8 against Louisiana) for a .722 clip with four blocks. Kirkland is shooting 22-of-32 on a blistering .688 over the last five games with 27 boards and three blocks during the same stretch.

DON'T ADJUST YOUR SET
The New Orleans Privateers men's basketball program has played 1,510 games since 1969 – and for 1,508 of them have worn either royal blue, white, or silver.

Last Friday UNO debuted brand new navy uniforms against Louisiana. The only other time the squad wore something other than blue, white or silver was back at Libscombe in 2002 when they wore an all-black uniform. That look was nixed after one game for violating the schools color palette! Don't worry though, navy was added to the official color palette back in 2013.
