NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans men's basketball non-conference contest against city rival Tulane, originally set for Tuesday, Dec. 21 at Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse, has been canceled due to ongoing health and safety protocols. While Tuesday's contest is officially canceled, there is hope that a rescheduled date can be agreed upon to make up the game later this season.
The meeting on Tuesday was supposed to be the Privateers and Green Waves first matchup since a 74-59 UNO victory back on Nov. 29, 2016.
New Orleans next game is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 28 as the Privateers are slated to head north to Columbus for a showdown with Big Ten power Ohio State. Tipoff is set for 5:30 PM CT and the game will be played in front of a national audience on the B1G Network.
