NEW ORLEANS – Brady Bennett fell just short of an individual championship trailing Sam Murphy of Louisiana Tech by two strokes at the conclusion of this year's LaTOUR Intercollegiate on Sunday afternoon.
Coming into day two of the weather-shortened 36-hole event at one-under par, Bennett had another spectacular round. The junior shot a four-under par 68 on Sunday afternoon, the lowest round of his Privateer career. Bennett's final tally of 139 matches

HEAD COACH JEFF LORIO
"Rough tournament. Once again, we didn't convert at the level we needed to on the greens. Too many bad putts and missed opportunities."
"Although we were better today, we are not near where we need to be. I believe we can be a very good golf team but obviously, we have a lot of work to do. We will start working hard on Tuesday to get ready for Diamondhead in two weeks."
(on Brady Bennett's second-place finish)
"I'm incredibly excited for Brady. I knew he would surprise a lot of people this Spring – his game has improved by leaps and bounds. There is no reason why he can't shoot this well every time we tee it up. He is good enough to win any event we play in and I expect it to happen soon."
