MOBILE, Ala. – Harrison Coleman went off and won the individual title in the men's 400m hurdles and the Privateers recorded 24 personal bests as the New Orleans track & field program opened its outdoor campaign at the South Alabama Invitational at the Jaguar Track on Friday.

NOTABLES
- Coleman posted one of the best performances in the country so far this outdoor season as he ran a new personal best of 53.25 in the 400m hurdles to take home the meet's title. The time beat the next closest student-athlete by .20 seconds and his old personal best by .24. The mark currently leads the Southland Conference and is ranked No. 5 overall in all of NCAA Division I Track & Field.
- Ismael Kone continues to be a force for the men's sprint group as he posted a second-place finish in the 100 and followed it up with a third-place performance in the 200. He recorded marks of 10.59 and 21.59, respectively. The 100 dash time ranks third overall in the country while the 200 times slots in at 11th overall.
- Vojislav Gvero picked up right where his indoor campaign left off as he placed second in the men's hammer throw with a best toss of 59.55m. He also notched a seventh-place finish with a new personal record of 44.68m in the men's discus. The performance in the hammer ranks Gvero fourth in NCAA DI in the event and his showing in the discus comes in at No. 29 in the nation, respectively.
- Kemar Cumberbatch doubled up and finished fourth in the 100 (10.83) and eighth in the 200 (22.30). His time in the 100m dash ranks 14th in NCAA DI Track & Field.
- Torry Holmes claimed eighth overall with a new personal best of 14.83 in the 110m hurdles. The time currently ranks 17th in the nation.
- New Orleans set 24 new personal bests in total at the meet.

The Privateers won't take long to return to the track as New Orleans is set to travel to the two-day Louisiana Classics, hosted by Louisiana, set for Friday, March 19 through Saturday, March 20 at the Ragin' Cajuns Track Complex in Lafayette, La.
