Golfweek Fall Challenge Awaits Privateers

NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans Golf makes the trip to Pawleys Island, S.C. this Sunday to open their season at the 2021 Golfweek Fall Challenge. The Privateers return eight of nine golfers who saw action last spring, while adding Kyle Bennett (Zachary High School) and graduate student Henry Augenstein to the squad. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.

FORMAT
One round of golf per day from Sunday to Tuesday. Shotgun start. Tee times are TBD.

The following other schools are confirmed to compete in the event: Cal Baptist, Campbell, Delaware, Drexel, Evansville, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Presbyterian College, St. Thomas, Stephen F. Austin, Tennessee Tech, USC Upstate, William & Mary, and Wofford.

LAST TIME ON THE COURSE
The Privateers finished in ninth place at last season's Southland Championships with a score of 938. Nolan Lambert finished his career on the Lakefront with rounds of 82 and 83 as the first-ever Privateer to be used as an alternate during a tournament. He replaced Thomas Artigas who shot an 87 during the first round.
