HEAD COACH JEFF LORIO
"We got off to another slow start in round one. We have to learn how to start tournaments with the same sense of urgency that we finish them. Max was the only player in the lineup today that showed some fight until the end of the first round. Making five birdies in a row is really special. Although we still finished the first round in 11th-place it really gave us the momentum we needed to climb the leaderboard in round two."
(On Artigas)
"Tomy put up the low round of the tournament – and his career – with a really solid 67 this afternoon. He has shown glimpses that that type of performance was in him all semester and I'm so proud that he finally put it all together."
(On tomorrow)
"Obviously we dug ourselves another deep hole this week with a poor performance in round one. We have to go out tomorrow and take advantage of opportunities early in the round to keep moving up the leaderboard."
