FINAL RESULTS
NEW ORLEANS – Privateer Track and Field completed a successful weekend at the Louisiana Classics with a strong Saturday performance in Lafayette.
Three New Orleans distance runners finished in first-place individually.
Ariana Jimenez kicked things off with the top finish in the women's 1,500 on Friday with a time of 4:38.44 – a new personal best. Arina Kleschukova and
Anna Martin finished fourth and fifth respectively in the 1,500 with times of 4:43.61 and 4:45.49 –
a new personal best.
Michelle Folk topped the women's 5,000 with a time of 18:09.21 – a new personal best – and
Jade Talazac also finished top-5 with a time of 19:53.76.
Kolyn Saltzman was the third winner on Saturday for the Privateers with the second Steeplechase event of his career with a time of 9:07.82 –
a personal best.
Five more Privateers finished their events in second place:
Ismael Kone in the men's 200,
Alec Snell in the men's 800,
Jaden Forester in the men's 1,500 and
Christopher Murphy in the long jump.
Kameron Jones finished the 300M Hurdles in third-place,
Parker McBride finished the 800M in third-place, and both
Samantha Dyson and
Vojislav Gvero finished their respective hammer throws in third-place.
Overall the Privateers set 20 personal bests over the weekend.
