NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans Golf team will wrap up its preparation for the Southland Championships when they make the short trip over to Houma for the Ellendale Intercollegiate hosted by Nicholls this Monday and Tuesday.
FORMAT
36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. Both days are scheduled to start at 8:00 a.m. with teams playing in the shotgun format. Each school's golfers will play in threesomes with other teams.
The following other schools are confirmed to compete in the event: Central Arkansas, HBU, UIW, Murray State, Nicholls
(host), North Alabama, Prairie View A&M, Samford, Southeastern, Stephen F. Austin, Troy and UT-Martin. Eighty total golfers will participate with 15 individuals.

LAST TIME ON THE COURSE
The Privateers entered the final round of the Big Texan in first place after rounds of 288, and 285 – but 40 mile an hour wind conditions led to a final round 307 and a second-place finish for
Jeff Lorio's Privateers. The tournament in Kerrville, Texas marked the first time all individual Privateers competing finished in the top-22 since 2009.

LAST TIME AT THE ELLENDALE INTERCOLLEGIATE:
The Privateers have never played at Ellendale Country Club as a team, but Junior
Grayson Gilbert became the first Privateer to qualify for the U.S Amateur after shooting 138 over two rounds at Ellendale in July.
