PREVIEW
Every school has a different name. Some call it Kids Day, some term it Campers Day and at the Lakefront Arena it's called Education Day. This will be the fifth such game the Privateers will be participating in this season (Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Mississippi State, UCF).

Alexis Calderon leads the Southland and is 59th in the nation in steals per game at 2.6. Calderon has 23 steals through the first nine games. She's had three games of four or more steals heading into the week.

New Orleans has forced at least 20 turnovers four times this season after the UCF Knights committed 24 against the Privateer defense. The Privateers have fewer turnovers in four contests this season: Tulsa, Alcorn State, South Alabama and UCF.

DeArica Pryor has 786 career points at New Orleans in 58 games entering Monday keeping her well on pace to the 1,000-point milestone at UNO. Pryor would need to average 10.7 points per game the rest of the regular season to achieve that mark. In her collegiate career, including two years at Creighton, Pryor is at 889 career points.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Tarleton State (3-6) is under the direction of a first year head coach in Bill Brock. The Texans are coming off their first Southland win as they defeated McNeese 88-64. The Texans have lost to Southland opponents, Northwestern State and UIW.

Jakoriah Long went off for 34 points in the Saturday triumph. Lexi Bull finished with 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Despite losing six of nine games this season, the Texans have a positive point differential. They are averaging 67.3 points per game while their opponents are averaging 62.4 points per contest.

WE ARE YOUR KREWE
For 54 seasons, Privateer student-athletes have had the unique experience of wearing New Orleans across their chests.  Like the city itself, our sports teams have been fueled by resiliency, grit, and the unquenchable desire to win.  Our city also houses the nation's biggest celebration each year. And much like a Mardi Gras parade krewe, we are tethered to our community through pride, tradition, a culture of acceptance, and finally our commitment to show that New Orleans is a world-class city to live, learn, play and work. We invite you to become more involved with the only University that truly represents New Orleans all day, every day.  Join #NOLAsTeam, We Are Your Krewe!
