NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans Golf team will make their first appearance in the Louisiana Classics in almost 15 years tomorrow morning at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La. Fans can catch Tuesday's final round on ESPN+ with coverage set to begin at 8:00 a.m.
FORMAT
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday with a shotgun start, and 18 holes on Tuesday, weather permitting.
The Privateers will face several programs ranked among GolfStat's top-100 in a field that includes: Denver, Illinois State, #47 LSU, #32 Little Rock,
Louisiana (hosts), Louisiana Tech, Michigan, #73 New Mexico State, #62 SMU, #91 Sam Houston, #15 Texas A&M, Texas State, and UTSA.

LAST TIME ON THE COURSE
Ryan Fulton came oh-so-close to winning his first collegiate tournament after a long absence. Fulton led the Gulf Coast Collegiate for most of the opening day, before eventually finishing in second place. The Zachary native made a career-high 14 birdies as well as an eagle and finished with a career-best tally of 211.
As a team, New Orleans moved up three spots on the final day after shooting a 287 on Tuesday afternoon – the second-best round of any team in the entire event. New Orleans made 47 birdies – second most among the field - including Fulton's 14, and nine from both
Henry Augenstein and
Grayson Gilbert. The Privateers were also best in the field on par-5's averaging 4.80 and shooting 12-under on those holes.

LAST TIME AT THE LOUISIANA CLASSICS
The Privateers won their fourth straight tournament with a victory in the 2009 Louisiana Classics. After entering round three with a two-stroke advantage New Orleans was able to fend off the host Cajuns for a one-stroke victory. Adam Cornelson won the individual title after a five-hole playoff with Southeastern's Cedric Scotto – the third individual tournament win of the season for the Privateers.
