NEW ORLEANS, La. - New Orleans Athletics is pleased to announce the 2023 Call for Nominations for induction into the Athletics Hall of Fame. Throughout the upcoming month, New Orleans Athletics asks all alumni, faculty and staff and friends of the program to nominate former Privateers to be included on the ballot for this year's Athletics Hall of Fame. To nominate a former University of New Orleans student-athlete, coach or staff member, simply fill out the online nomination form by Friday, May 12th.
All nominees from last year remain on the ballot. Should an existing nominee receive additional nominations, that information will be combined into one nomination that the Hall of Fame Advisors Committee will consider.
The University of New Orleans Hall of Fame returned in 2022 after a 13-year pause, inducting four former Privateer student-athletes, one Administrator/Coach and one "Friend of the Program." The full list of inductees can be found online at www.UNOPrivateers.com/HallOfFame.
The 2023 Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony is tentatively scheduled for Friday, November 10th. An announcement of the inductees, as well as information on how to attend the event, will be released later in the summer.
