NEW ORLEANS – Kolyn Saltzman and
Ariana Jimenez swept the Steeplechase as the University of New Orleans had eight top-four finishes on Saturday night in Houston, while New Orleans set five personal bests and won three individual heats in Baton Rouge.

The University of New Orleans distance program had another strong evening in Houston. Saltzman and Jimenez both finished first in the Steeplechase with times of 9:06.71 and 10:32.9 respectively.
Oxana Bonjorn-Giros finished third in the Steeplechase with a time of 10:57.58 – a new personal best by about four seconds.
Kelvin Chiku,
Evan Pardo, and
Alexandra Weir all picked up third-place finishes as well. Chiku finished his 800-meter run in 1:50.25 and remains third on the Southland's Performance list. Pardo finished third in the men's 5K with a time of 14:40.17 – an incredible almost 30-second improvement on his previous personal best outdoors. Weir finished her 1500-meter run in 4:28.14 just ahead of teammate
Tshwanelo Maruping's time of 4:29.67, another personal best.
Also achieving personal bests at Rice were
Mason Appleton (1500m, 3:59.81)
Briana Bell (hammer throw, 45.81m – a three-meter improvement),
Quinton Collins (high jump, 1.82m),
Antonio Delgado (steeplechase, 10:31.89),
Cade Litolff (1500m, 3:55.65),
Anna Martin (800m, 2:15.41 – top-10 finish),
Antonio Sanchez (1500m, 4:11.69), and
Dante Scott (triple jump, 13.94m).
Keneva Headley made her UNO debut and finished with a mark of 10.78m in the women's triple jump.

FINAL RESULTS (Delta Timing)
The Privateers got off to a flying start in Baton Rouge when
Mason Melancon,
Elliott Cummings,
Jayden Sloan, and
Ellis Cummings clocked a 39.75 in the men's 4x100. The Privateer men have improved in all four 4x100 relays they have run this season after starting with a 40.86 at the Louisiana Classic back on March 23.
Alimot Alowonle got the personal best train rolling for the Privateers at LSU when her second jump landed at 5.95m – good for fourth place overall.
Aisha Johnson was next on the board with a 12.04 new personal best in the women's 100m.
Ellis Cummings followed up with a personal best of 10.91 in the men's 100. Both Sarinity and
Trinity Bracey set personal bests in the women's 100-meter hurdles (14.17) and the women's 200 meters (24.40).
Three Privateers won their individual heats as well in Baton Rouge.
Christopher Murphy won his heat in the men's 100 with a time of 10.72 – one-tenth of a second faster than Chris Gravois of Louisiana.
Trinity Bracey won heat seven of the women's 200 by .31 seconds over Maja Maunsbach from Minnesota and
Aisha Johnson's time of 24.88 beat Nadia Thomas from Southern by .16 seconds in heat eight.

The Privateers head to Commerce, Texas for the Southland Conference Championships. The meet will take place Mat 4-6 at Memorial Stadium on the campus of Texas A&M-Commerce. A selection of the Southland Outdoor Championships will be broadcast on ESPN+.
