NEW ORLEANS, La. - The New Orleans Beach Volleyball Program will make a day trip to Florence, Alabama Saturday for their final road tournament of the regular season.
The Privateers (15-12) will take on the host North Alabama at 9 a.m. and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga at 11 a.m.
New Orleans comes off a 4-1 weekend at the Southern Miss Beach Invitational with wins over Southern Miss twice, Nicholls, and split matches against UCA. With the four wins as a pair on court two,
Alexa Spartz and
Trinity Jackson further their record to a team best 19-6. Top pair of
Ania Esarte and
Maria Ozaeta follow with a record of 16-10 after three wins and two losses this past weekend.
Hannah Volpi and
Valerie Vujnovich at court three in addition to
Serena Baumgart and Ivana Peixe at court five also secured four wins each.
North Alabama enters the weekend 14-13 on the season and fresh off a 4-1 win over Austin Peay before dropping a 3-2 decision to UT-Martin. The Privateers defeated the Lions 3-2 in their sole meeting this season at the Green Wave Invitational.
The Chattanooga Mocs enter the weekend 12-8 after picking up a pair of victories over Berry College and Erskine during its three-match slate on Tuesday in Macon, Ga. This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.
