Privateer Athletics Adds Talbert and Kleindorf to Senior Staff

NEW ORLEANS – Brandon Talbert and Rebekah Kleindorf are the latest to join #NOLAsTeam. Talbert has taken the position of assistant athletic director for compliance, while Kleindorf joins the department as executive assistant to Vice President of Athletics and Recreation Tim Duncan.

"We are elated to welcome Brandon Talbert to the team. Brandon rose to the top of our list quickly when looking for a leader for our NCAA compliance unit," said Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Services Phillip Pinkston.
"His in-depth experience with supporting student-athletes, knowledge of NCAA rules, and high ethical standards makes him the ideal individual to deliver a new level of excellence to our program. I am excited to have him on #NOLAsTeam."
Talbert comes to the Lakefront after serving as the Nevada Wolf Pack's director of Compliance Services for the 2022-2023 school year. Talbert served as the primary compliance contact for women's basketball, equipment operations, event and facility management, marketing and promotions, strength and conditioning, and the athletics ticket office. He also oversaw the Wolf Pack's Title IX background check process.
Before his time in Reno, Talbert was the assistant director for compliance at Bellarmine in Louisville, Ky. from September 2020 to April 2022. He also spent a year as the athletics compliance coordinator at the University of Central Florida (August 2019 – August 2020) and did a compliance internship at Northern Illinois from February 2017 to August 2018.

Talbert earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma in 1999, and he is also a 2018 graduate from Marquette's School of Law. He is a member of the Sports Law Society, and National Association of Athletics Compliance (NAAC).

Bekah Kleindorf, a University of New Orleans graduate, has been hired as Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Athletics & Recreation Tim Duncan and will manage his internal and external scheduling. She will also serve as a culture leader as she will be responsible for onboarding staff, assisting with the internal professional development program, and serving as a key member of the department's celebrations committee. She will also manage special projects in the area of alumni relations and revenue enhancement.

"I have been very discerning in selecting the right person as my executive assistant," said Duncan.

"Bekah brings a great attitude, a solution-oriented mindset, and a team-first mentality to the position. When combining those traits with the fact that she is an alumna and bleeds silver and blue, the decision to hire her in this role became a very easy one to make."

Kleindorf most recently worked with the New Orleans Saints as coach of the Saints Cheer Krewe and was a five-year member of the Saints Cheer Krewe from 2017-22. She was team captain, a leadership award recipient and was tasked with designing and establishing diversity initiatives.

Kleindorf graduated from the University of New Orleans in 2020 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Behavioral Studies. She also earned a spot on the Dean's List while at the University of New Orleans.
