PREVIEW
New Orleans rolled into the holiday break with a pair of wins over Tarleton State and Alcorn State. Their most recent win was an 83-59 triumph over the Alcorn State Braves, which was their second win against the Mississippi based school. The Privateers raced out to a 14-point lead after the first quarter.

Five Privateers scored in double figures. It was the first time five Privateers reached double figures in a game since February 2022 when the Privateers scored a 78-57 win against UIW.

DeArica Pryor earned her fourth Southland Player of the Week award on Tuesday for what she did over a two-game stretch before the break. Pryor averaged 19 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while going 9-of-11 from three-point range in two wins against Tarleton and Alcorn State.

Justice Ross went on a blocking spree over the last two games. Ross had three blocks each in their wins against Tarleton and Alcorn State. Ross is now tied for third in the Southland in blocks per game (1.2) only behind Nabaweeyah McGill (Corpus Christi) and Jasmin Dixon (Northwestern State).

New Orleans has put together a big statistical improvement in their assist totals over the last four games. The Privateers are averaging 14.0 assists per game as a team in that span after averaging 6.8 assists per game in the first seven.
