NEW ORLEANS – Playing with just four golfers in the final round after
Gabriel Gallego withdrew due to injury, the University of New Orleans golf team fell from eighth to ninth place during the final round of the LaTOUR Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon.
Taylor Boasberg led the way for UNO with a career-low score of 216.
Garrett Trahan finished right behind him with a score of 221.
Matt Weber finished at 224, and
Maximilian Wojciechowski finished at 225.
New Orleans tallied rounds of 297, 290 and 299 to finish with a score of 886 – finishing ahead of Southern, Prairie View A&M and Mobile. UNO made 39 birdies and an eagle over three rounds at LaTOUR Golf Club.
The Privateers wrap up the fall season on Oct. 28-29 when they travel to Sugar Land, Texas and Riverbend Country Club for the Riverbend Fall Classic hosted by HCU. Live scoring for the event will be available on BirdieFire.
