WATCH (ESPN+) | LIVE STATS | UNO GAME NOTES | TROY GAME NOTES

NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans men's basketball team (0-1) will celebrate Homecoming when they host the Troy Trojans (1-0) on Nov. 9 at Lakefront Arena. Tipoff is set for 4:00 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ for American viewers, and on Southland.org for international viewers.

Saturday marks the seventh meeting between the two schools with the series tied 3-3. New Orleans holds a 2-1 edge at Lakefront Arena with all meetings in the series coming when the Privateers and Trojans were Sun Belt Conference foes.

LAST TIME OUT | Kansas State 89 New Orleans 65
With a new coaching staff and a vastly overhauled roster, the Privateers raced out to a 25-15 lead with six minutes to play in the first half at Bramlage Coliseum. Kansas State, however, managed to claw its way back into the game, hitting 13 three-pointers to complete the comeback. New Orleans was led in scoring by Jah Short, who set a new career high with 19 points. James White contributed 14 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Dae Dae Hunter added 10 points—all in the second half—while MJ Thomas finished with six rebounds and two points.

SCOUTING THE TROJANS
Troy was picked No. 3 in the Sun Belt preseason poll, earning a single first-place vote. Sophomore Miles Rigsby was named to the preseason first team after being named the league's Freshman of the Year last season. Senior Tayton Conerway earned preseason second-team honors after winning the Sun Belt's Sixth Man of the Year award last season. The Trojans have won 20+ games in back-to-back-to-back seasons, the only Sun Belt school to accomplish that feat.
Troy opened the season with an 84-74 victory over Toledo on Monday. Three Trojans scored in double-figures: Conerway had 12 points and 6 assists, Rigsby recorded 12 points and 6 rebounds, and Jackson Fields added 10 points and 4 rebounds.

HOMECOMING
Privateer supporters are encouraged to make it out to the Lakefront early to watch the UNO volleyball team host Texas A&M-Corpus Christ at the Human Performance Center. First serve is set for noon, and anyone with a ticket stub from the volleyball match will be allowed into the basketball game for fee.
Tailgating will also be available from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. outside of Lakefront Arena. There will be a food truck, Street Eatz, as well performances by BrUNO and the UNO Pom squad. The 2024 Homecoming court will be presented at halftime, with this year's UNO Royalty presented at the conclusion of the game.
