Box Score 1 |
Box Score 2 NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers men's and women's tennis teams hardly had to break a sweat as they both coasted by Mississippi Valley State. The men won 7-0 and the women won 6-0 on Saturday morning at the Privateer Tennis Center.
MEN'S RECAP
Marcel Volz and
Luke Joujan both did not play as it was a day for different guys to get an opportunity at different spots.
Matthew Armbruster and
Marc Mail played at the top two flights in singles and both won their matches 6-0, 6-0.
That set the tone for the day as nobody dropped a single game in any of the matches between doubles and singles. In doubles,
Marc Mail and
Joseph Townes won at flight one. Matthew and
Sergi Tintore scored a win in flight two.
Mark Armbruster and
Uwe Diehl won at flight three.
In singles, Tintore, Diehl, Towns and Mark played at flights three through six respectively and they all won their singles matches without dropping a game.
WOMEN'S RECAP
The women experienced similar success on the day.
Tristanne Dechoux and
Anastassia Kouchnareva won their match 6-0 at flight one in doubles.
Laurie Barendse and

In singles it was more of the same against an overmatched Mississippi Valley State squad.
