Box Score NEW ORLEANS –
Luke Joujan earned a singles point for the New Orleans Privateers but the Tulane Green Wave took the match by a 6-1 score on Monday afternoon at City Park Tennis Courts.
Joujan faced Luka Petrovic at flight two. After a spirited first set that Joujan took with a late service break, Petrovic came back to take the second set. The third set was played in a 10-point super tiebreak which Joujan prevailed in 10-7.
The Green Wave began the day with wins at flight one and three doubles. Alex Bancila and Luc Hoeijmans took their match by a double break 6-2. Petrovic and Sam Scherer also scored a 6-3 win for the Green Wave.
Flight two doubles saw
Matthew Armbruster and
Sergi Tintore ahead 6-5 when the first point was decided.
Tulane took the remaining five matches in straight sets. Scherer was the first off court at flight five after he swept his first set on the way to a 6-0, 6-3 win. Bancila followed closely behind with a 6-4, 6-2 victory.
The clinching point for Tulane was won by Fynn Kuenkler 6-2, 6-0 at flight four to give the Green Wave the victory.

The Privateers open conference play on Wednesday, Mar. 13 against Nicholls. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Privateer Tennis Center.
