2024-2025 Privateer Golf Schedule is Set

2024-2025 GOLF SCHEDULE | JOIN THE PRIVATEER LINKS CLUB

NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans Golf team will play a combined 11 tournaments between September and April this season – five in the fall, and six in the spring.

For the third time in four years the squad will travel to Pawley's Island off the coast of South Carolina to open the at the Golfweek Fall Challenge on Sept. 8-10. True Blue Gulf Resort hosts the tournament where the Privateers shot an 855 last season – tied for the 11th best three round score in team history.

Two more familiar events take place in September. New Orleans will play in the Grover Page Classic at Jackson Country Club in Jackson, Tenn. for the fourth season in a row on Sept. 16-17 before heading to RidgePointe Country in Jonesboro, Arkansas for their fourth straight appearance at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate on Sept. 30-Oct 1.

Two weeks later the Privateers will compete in the LaTOUR Intercollegiate at LaTOUR Golf Club in Mathews, La. on Oct. 21-22. The fall season wraps up with a trip to Sugar Land, Texas for HCU's Riverbend Fall Classic at Riverbend Country Club on Oct. 28-29.

The Privateers open the spring at home when they host the Gulf Coast Collegiate at English Turn on Feb. 24-25. It will be the second straight year the event is hosted at English Turn – New Orleans finished third last season.
New Orleans will head back to the Lonestar State for UTRGV's Match Play event on March 10-11 at McAllen Country Club in McAllen, Texas. It will the first match play event since the Privateers went unbeaten at the Grand Bear Match Play in April of 2023, and just the second match play event for the Privateers in the last 32 years. Just over four weeks later New Orleans will return to match play when they host Bayou Oaks Match Play at in City Park on April 8.

Between those two events New Orleans will head to Magnolia Grove Golf Course in Mobile for the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate on March 23-25 – an event they have never participated in.

The golf team closes out the regular season with a trip back to Jonesboro, Arkansas and RidgePointe Country Club for the ASU Spring Classic on April 14-15.

For the second straight year the Southland Championship will be held at Commanche Trace in Kerrville, Texas. Last New Orleans placed second after shooting an 875, their second lowest score ever at a Southland Championship. The tournament will take place on April 22-24 with portions broadcast on ESPN+.
