NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers women's basketball team ends the month of January with a home contest against Stephen F. Austin at 6:30 p.m. Then the Privateers hit the road to begin February against Southeastern at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Both games will be carried on ESPN+.

New Orleans suffered a heartbreaking 58-55 loss on Monday to UIW. Alexis Calderon scored a season-high 17 points and added seven rebounds. The Privateers missed on two opportunities to tie the game in the waning seconds of a game that saw 13 lead changes.

New Orleans had their second biggest rebounding advantage of the season on Monday against UIW when they secured a 40-32 advantage on the glass. The Privateers were +12 on the boards in their game against Texas Tech (49-37).

In the last four games, the Privateers are averaging 41.5 rebounds per contest and have cracked 40 rebounds three times in that stretch. In their first 14 games of the season, the Privateers reached 40 rebounds in a game four times. Their season high in boards is 50 against South Alabama.
