Beach Volleyball Announces 2025 Schedule

2025 BEACH VOLLEYBALL SCHEDULE

NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans beach volleyball team is set for eight regular season tournaments before hosting the Southland Championship in late April.

The season officially opens with a trip to White Sands in Elmwood, La. for the Green Wave Invitational on Feb. 21-22. UNO is set to open with Southeastern, before playing Concordia University Irvine, UAB and Tulane.

A week later is a trip to South Beach in Lake Charles, La for the Cowgirl Beach Bash on Feb. 28-March 1. Opponents for the Cowgirl Beach Bash are yet to be announced.

On March 7-8 UNO will travel to the campus of UAB for the March to May. Matches with Eastern Kentucky, North Alabama, UT Martin and UAB are lined up.

Next up is a trip to Sugar Beach in Youngsville, La. for the Sugar Beach Bash hosted by Southeastern on March 14-15. Opponents for the Sugar Beach Bash are yet to be announced.

The annual Southland Mid-Conference tournament is set for March 21-23 at Thibodaux Regional Sports Complex in Thibodaux, La. The Privateers will face San Jose State, Boise State, HCU, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Stephen F. Austin, and McNeese. These matches will count towards seeding the Southland Championship in April.

The match against Southeastern at the Tulane Green Wave Invitational, and a match against Nicholls at the Cowgirl Beach Bash will also count towards UNO's seeding at the Southland Championship.

New Orleans will participate in the first day of the Hub City Beach Bash on the campus of Southern Miss on April 4, before returning home and hosting Nicholls and ULM at Privateer Beach on April 5.

The final tournament of the season is the Battle on the Bayou at LSU's Beach Volleyball stadium on April 11-12. UNO is set to face Southern Miss, HCU, Stephen F. Austin and LSU.

On April 23-26 New Orleans is set to host the 2025 Southland Beach Volleyball Championship on east campus at Privateer Beach with at least a portion of the event set to air on ESPN+.
