Men's Tennis Looks to Continue Early Season Run at Tulane

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers men's tennis team will continue their road swing on Sunday when they take on the Tulane Green Wave at City Park. The match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.

New Orleans is 6-0 on the season which is their best start since 2021 when they began the spring with an 8-0 record.

The Privateers are 30-2 in singles as a team. Gonzalo Cotter and Carlos Melgosa have both hit the ground running as individuals and as a doubles team. Cotter and Melgosa have only dropped one set each in singles. The freshman duo is also 5-1 in doubles together while playing at flight three.

Jerall Yasin made his debut in the Privateers' last match, a win against Alcorn State. Yasin, a senior transfer, won alongside teammate, Jacob Rouleau-Mailly 6-0 in doubles. Rouleau-Mailly is unblemished in doubles this year at 5-0.

The Privateers are looking for their first win on the court against Tulane since 2010. The Privateers have snagged two points in each of the last two seasons against the Green Wave.
