NEW ORLEANS –
Anais Sulpice and
Jose Rodriguez both picked up top-seven finishes in the 800 meters on the final day of the Southland Indoor Championships. Sulpice finished in 2:13.83, and Rodriguez finished in 1:53.67.
Also scoring over two days in Birmingham, Alabama, for New Orleans were the women's 4x400-meter relay team of
Ashley Robinson,
London Parker,
Agathe Tronchon and
Katie Burnett. The foursome picked up a point after an eighth-place finish in 3:56.29.
The men's 4x400-meter team also picked up four points following a sixth-place finish.
Keldrick Turner,
Olamipo Ladipo,
Tshilidzi Netshiombo and
Martin Liaud finished the 1,600 meters in 3:14.25. Meanwhile, the men's distance medley relay team of
Brandt Blanchard, Liaud, Rodriguez and
Mason Appleton grabbed a point after an eighth-place finish in 10:27.10.
The New Orleans men finished 11th with six points, while the New Orleans women finished 12th with three points.
Next up for the Privateers track and field program is a trip to Lake Charles, Louisiana, to open the 2026 outdoor season at the Bob Hayes Relay on March 14.
