Track and Field Heads to Hammond for the Strawberry Relays

MEET INFO | MEET SCHEDULE | LIVE RESULTS (Crescent City Timing)

NEW ORLEANS — Twenty-three University of New Orleans track and field student-athletes will make the short trip up I-55 to the campus of Southeastern for the 2026 edition of the Strawberry Relays on Friday.

The meet gets underway at the Southeastern Track and Field Complex at 9 a.m. for the Privateers, with Christina Davis throwing the hammer and Tyler Michell throwing the javelin. Keon Woolridge will participate in the men's hammer once the women's hammer is finished.

Also starting at 9 a.m. is the men's long jump. Darryl Bachmann will be the first men's jumper (indoor or outdoor) for New Orleans this season. While he has not jumped collegiately, his personal-best jump in European competition is 7.45 meters. That mark would place seventh all-time at UNO.

At noon Friday, Antonio Creger will throw the discus, with C. Davis following in the women's discus. Once the women's shot put concludes, Creger will also participate in the men's shot put.

LeeAira Williams, Gennieve Davis, Katie Burnett and Nyah Harrison will run in the women's 4x100-meter relay at 12:15 p.m. — the foursome's first outdoor relay race in 2026.

A rolling schedule of running events is set to follow. Privateer participation includes Petra Imre in the women's 1500M; Henry Livingston and Chey Bridges in the men's 1500M; Harrison, Burnett, Williams and Serenity Harris in the women's 400M; Yoran Kabengele-Kabala, Tshilidzi Netshiombo, Olamipo Ladipo, Ben  Stumm and Grant Young in the men's 400M; G.
