Men's Golf Four Strokes Back After Second Round of ASU Classic

JONESBORO, Ark. (Apr. 10, 2006) - The University of New Orleans men's golf team sits four strokes back in third place after firing a team total of 592 after two rounds of the ASU Indian Classic held at the par-72, 6,137 yard Ridge Point Country Club.

UNO (+16) trails both Missouri State (+12) and Southern Illinois (+14) in the 15-team field. Arkansas-Little Rock (+17) is in fourth, followed by Middle Tennessee (+22), Oral Roberts (+23), Arkansas St. (+26), Northern Iowa (+26), Southern Miss. (+28), Illinois St. (+30), Samford (+32), Drake (+34), South Florida (+34), Louisiana Tech (+39) and Troy (+46).

UNO's Kenji Murayama (-1) is in second place after rounds of 74 and 69 and trails UALR's Cristobal Flanagan (-3) who leads the 85-player field.

Adam Cornelson (+3) is the next highest Privateer finisher in 12th place heading into Tuesday's final round after firing a 75 and a 72.

Adam Collins (+7) is tied for 27th after having respective rounds of 75 and 76.

Anthony Cantu (+9) shot an 80 and a 73 and resides in a 42nd place tie, while Mitch Ellis (+10) is a stroke back in a 47th place tie with a 79 and a 75.
