Privateers Fall at Northwestern State

NATCHITOCHES, La. – The New Orleans Privateers women's tennis team fell 5-2 at Northwestern State on Saturday afternoon.

The Privateers (6-7, 3-4 Southland) only wins were scratched out in singles play over the Demons (14-4, 7-0 Southland) with Soledad Calderon Arroyo getting a three set victory at No. 1 singles, beating Polina Konop 7-5, 2-6, 10-6.  The other win came at No. 5 singles with Hafsa Laraibi getting the 6-4, 6-1 win over Aliona Ladutska.  

All other Privateers lost in straight sets with the exception of Anna Segarra Rius retiring at No. 2 singles due to injury.a

New Orleans will pick up action at Southeastern on Sunday, April 13.
