HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The New Orleans Privateers women's tennis team headed to the Southern Miss Tennis Courts for their last non-conference match, but Mother Nature intervened as rain canceled the Wednesday bout.
The Privateers (8-7) were set for their final tune-up against the Golden Eagles but rain persisted that delayed the original 2 p.m. start. After the team waited for the courts to dry, another round of rain came through that canceled the match.
The women will now head to South Texas this weekend against UTRGV (Saturday) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Monday).
