RESULTSHATTIESBURG, Miss. – The New Orleans Privateers women's tennis team (2-0) closed the weekend with another clean sweep at 7-0 over the Jacksonville State Gamecocks (1-2) on Sunday at the Southern Miss Tennis Courts.
The Privateers started by taking 6-1 victories at the 2 and 3 position in doubles to earn the first point of the match. The pair of
Yasmine Rashad and
Hafsa Laraibi continued their strong overall season in doubles play.
In singles, New Orleans had to sweat out a pair of three-set matches. Rashad lost her first set in singles at 6-1, but rebounded in resounding fashion to take the next two sets at 6-1, 6-0 over her opponent, Diana Mirceta. Also,
