FIRST SERVEThe New Orleans Privateers (15-13, 4-7 Southland) look to continue their charge up the conference standings as they take on the Southeastern Lady Lions (11-14, 5-6) on Tuesday at the University Center. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Privateers enter having won three straight which included a pair of conference wins in as many days. New Orleans defeated McNeese State 3-1 on Friday afternoon and topped Nicholls 3-0 on Saturday. Against Nicholls, the Privateers took the first two sets by narrow margins of 26-24 and 25-23 before pulling away late to a 25-18 victory in set three, which sealed the sweep.

Keke Irby polished off a very efficient week in which she hit .468 and had just five attack errors in 47 attempts. Irby posted season best totals in kills (12) and attempts (23) against McNeese State. Irby has recorded attack percentages of .350 or higher with at least 10 attempts in five of her last eight matches.

The win on Saturday provided a milestone and a first for the program in over a decade. Head Coach
Millicent Van Norden picked up her 200
th career victory in the Halloween triumph against the Colonels. Also, the Privateers won their 10
th home match of the season on Saturday. It marks the first time since 2004 that New Orleans has won at least 10 home games in a single season.

QUICK HITS-New Orleans won the first meeting between the two teams this season 3-0 on Oct. 10. The Privateers took three close sets (25-22, 25-22, 25-23).

th), assists (4
th), and aces (1

Celeste Ramirez has registered 10.09 assists per set over her last six matches. Ramirez also leads the team in double-doubles on the year with six.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTSoutheastern comes in after dropping their last match at home by a 3-1 score line to McNeese State on Saturday. The Lady Lions won the first set 25-22, but dropped the next three 25-22, 25-21, 25-17. Southeastern was held to an attack percentage of .186 or lower in each of the last three sets. Sarah Friedman had a career-high 19 kills in the loss.

Head Coach Jim Smoot is near a milestone of his own. Smoot is sitting at 397 career wins entering the week. 33 of those have come at Southeastern where he is in the midst of his third season. Smoot has eight career 20-win seasons (five at Westmont College and three at Ohio State).

Landry Bullock leads the team and is 10
th in the Southland in kills per set (3.07). Bullock has achieved her career high of 19 kills in a match twice this season with both occurrences coming at home vs. Stephen F. Austin and Northwestern State. Bullock had 11 kills in the Lady Lions' first match-up against the Privateers.
