OPENING TIPThe New Orleans Privateers women's basketball team (1-3) looks to bounce back off an 0-2 weekend when they return home to take on the Trinity Baptist Eagles (2-9) on Saturday at the Lakefront Arena. Tip is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The Privateers participated in the KSU Thanksgiving Classic last weekend and were handed losses by Florida A&M and host, Kennesaw State. In both games, New Orleans took a lead into the fourth quarter but could not hold on. In the final game, the Privateers overcame a double digit first half deficit against Kennesaw State to take a four-point lead into the final stanza, but were outscored 21-10 by the Owls.

Randi Brown posted her second game of 20-plus points last Saturday when she poured in 21 against Kennesaw State. Brown is also averaging 4.3 rebounds per game through the first four contests, and had a season-high 25 vs. LSU-Alexandria.

This will be the fourth opponent the Privateers have played for the first time. New Orleans has played inaugural meetings against TCU, LSU-Alexandria, Florida A&M, and Kennesaw State. Saturday will mark the first of three December home games.

FAST BREAK-Brown's 17.5 points per game rank second in the Southland behind Beatrice Attura of Northwestern State (18.3 PPG).
-The Privateers are averaging the most total rebounds per game in the conference (44.5 RPG).
-This season, New Orleans has been held under 30 percent from the field in three of four games.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTTrinity Baptist comes in with a mark of 2-9 on the season. Earlier this week, the Eagles lost 74-35 to Keiser University. In the game, Trinity Baptist took a four-point lead out of the first quarter, but were outscored by 19 in the second quarter. Tatiyana Thomas had 13 points in the loss for the Eagles.

The two wins for the Eagles came in back-to-back games in early November. Their first win was a 77-73 decision over Edward Waters on Nov. 2. Four days later, the Eagles polished off a 79-58 victory over Johnson & Wales.

Trinity Baptist has played one D-I school so far on their schedule, losing 107-30 to Stetson. After Saturday, the Eagles have one remaining D-I opponent on the schedule when they face North Florida. The Eagles are coached by Judy Allen.
