Privateers Suffer Setback vs. Tulane

New Orleans Falls in Final Home Matches to Green Wave

KENNER, La. – The New Orleans sand volleyball team wrapped-up the home portion of its inaugural 2015 season on Tuesday afternoon, taking a pair of 5-0 losses to Tulane at Coconut Beach.
 
Getting things going in match one at the No. 4 spot, Ashley Everett and Courtney Roblez put up double-figure point totals in each set, falling 21-15, 21-10.
 
At No. 2 Brooklyn Frank and Lauren Levy put up a valiant effort, taking the second set of their match down to the wire before ultimately taking the 2-0 loss, 21-8, 21-16.
 
In the second match it was Celeste Ramirez and Taylor Berry who teamed up at No. 4, hitting double-figures in each set during the 21-10, 21-11 loss.
 
Cara Sander and Mikayla Sellers-Wiebe then put up a fight in their No. 2 spot loss, 21-12, 21-13, before Frank and Levy ended the match with a 21-6, 21-11 loss at No. 1.
 
The Privateers are back in action next Wednesday, April 15, as New Orleans heads to Monroe, La. for a 2 p.m. CT meeting with the Warhawks.
